Library Exhibition Poster
In this study, a poster was prepared considering the feelings of hope, unity, and commitment. The picture used in the sign aimed to reflect the togetherness and hope with the helping hands while leaving behind the past that dried up and disappeared. Furthermore, while creating the shadows as a choice of skin color, it was desired to reflect diversity by using many different skin tones.
Big Love Poster
Big Love is an adaptation of a play by American playwright Charles L. Mee. Based on Aeschylus’ The Suppliants, which tells the story of about fifty brides who fled to a mansion in Italy to avoid marrying their cousins. In this game, the chaos that takes place in the game is explained based on the simplicity of Italian weddings. The illustration, used to arouse the audience’s curiosity, is tried to be presented with clarity.
City Shorts Poster
This poster has been prepared based on the idea of reflecting the pictures of the directors in this show, where the works created from the eyes of future directors will be exhibited. This reflection was realized with the metaphor of a projector, which is the way of projecting an image.
Arthur Flowers Poster
“The best women to come through a man’s life always leave a good blues behind.”I’ve always thought every piece of music has a story, and every note is the brick of that story. After reading this piece, the idea that every blues music is a story composed of parts of a woman’s soul started coming to life. The letters that mix with the air and scatter around represent parts of the souls of the women who left their traces in our character’s life. In some places, the exciting story of years ago expires, is erased, and begins to blur, while new stories are formed in some areas.
The Last Poets
The poster work prepared for the 19 May concerts features group depictions, bold graphics, and typography. In this design, which aims to reflect an old-fashioned atmosphere in this way; It reflects the militant shield and revolutionary outlook of the group. This 30'x40'' work is directed by the efforts of its last poets to be the voice of black people and end social injustice. The three fists, inspired by the movie called " Right On!”, represent the three poets of the group. The text in The Last Poets song in these three fists represents the voice of the people defying injustice. Yellow and red colors used in the group were chosen as poster colors. The font Stencil Std, which represents the protesting party, has been chosen here as the workspace of the booklet.
Women’s History Month Poster
I had the privilege of crafting a compelling poster design for Emerge Studio, which is dedicated to Women's History Month events. Inspired by the timeless wisdom of the book "Our Bodies Ourselves," this project embodies the essence of unity and collectivism.
The central theme revolves around the powerful concept of mutual reflection. The imagery I've created serves as a visual metaphor, illustrating how individuals act as mirrors for one another, symbolizing interconnectedness and shared experiences. Each element in the design echoes the idea of unity, portraying the strength that comes from a collective embrace.
